About CEFAM

CEFAM was founded in 1986 by Roger Serre and Jean Michel Perrenot, who act as CEO and President respectively to this day. They had an inspired idea to build an institution that delivered an American, Liberal Arts curriculum in France, taught in English, focusing on Management as a response to the growing internationalization of markets and companies.

Building international partnerships was paramount to the vision of CEFAM, with Northeastern University and Temple University becoming the school’s two first partners, building ties that remain strong today. CEFAM’s international partnerships have grown and developed over the years, now including many other invaluable partners, which are instrumental in the Dual Degree, MBA and Study Abroad programs alike. With over 150 alumni in over 60 different countries, CEFAM remains the only institution in France that allows 100% of its students to earn two different degrees simultaneously.

UG Dual Degree Program

CEFAM’s academic program is based on the American and Canadian models in liberal arts education. In order to earn dual degrees, students spend their first 3 years on CEFAM’s campus in Lyon, and their final year in a US or a Canadian partner university. They then graduate with both a French and an American or Canadian degree. The French degree is a Professional Master’s, RNCP level 7 “Manager of International Organizations,” and the US degree is a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in any Business major available at the partner university. The Canadian degree is a Master of Business Administration.

3 Years to Learn the Fundamentals

The first 3 years of the program are dedicated to developing students’ knowledge in Business and general education courses, as well as professional competencies through the completion of two internships.

1 or 2 Years of Specialization

After 3 years in Lyon, CEFAM students go on to choose their major in the following year. They have 3 options:

Spend 1 year studying in the United States at one of our 6 partner universities and earn a BBA as the second degree.
Spend 1 year studying in Canada at University of New Brunswick and earn an MBA as the second degree.
Continue at CEFAM for their 4th year enrolling in the MSc program, earning a Professional Master’s degree in Marketing or Finance

PG Dual Degree Program

Earn two Master’s in 2 years

University graduates who have already earned their Bachelor’s degree in Business are invited to apply directly for CEFAM’s fourth year. They have the chance to earn the CEFAM Professional

Master’s (RNCP Level 7) with a major in Finance or Marketing in just one year. They can then take advantage of CEFAM’s MBA and MSc partners in the United States, Canada, or France in order to earn their degree in one additional year*.

* Total required time can vary based on evaluation results of Bachelor’s degree course credits.
